Personal life, my normal working week is my alarm going off at 5.45am ⏰

Having 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 teenaged boys, plus ensuring all early morning calls are dealt with, I cannot bear the thought of being late for anything.

2023 has been an awful lot of early morning logs into the DVLA to finally get my eldest son through his driving test, after almost 2 years of turning 17 🚗

I have tried to ensure I maintain a work life balance and stop answering emails after 5pm ….. but for those of you who know me, this is never the case 😶

Work life, I love my job, recruitment is a lot harder than it was a couple of years ago, but I love a challenge, and it can honestly be the most rewarding job and the most frustrating job all at the same time, but being promoted to Director recently, I feel all the stress was worth it 😊

Having a mixed background of management/hospitality/HR, all of these skills have helped me within my role at Abbey Personnel, where I have now been for just over 5 years.

Hospitality, I adore, but it had an effect on my home life and my children who were younger at the time, which is how I found myself in Recruitment. I have found a way to incorporate all of the experience I have gained over the years and now also help our events desk with finding good team members.

Construction was something when I stepped into Abbey Personnel I had basic knowledge of, but I have learnt as time has gone on and we have some amazing people working with/for us now.

Weekends, I cannot wait for the weather to decide what it wants to do so I can enjoy some sunshine in my life, catch up with friends, and most importantly spend time with my family ☀👩‍👧‍👦
