Get to know the newest addition to our Abbey Personnel family, Ava Packwood - our compliance administrator & resourcer 😊
My normal working week is my alarm going off at 8am. I live a 10 minute walk away from the office so sometimes I tend to hit the snooze button 😌
When I arrive at work the day often starts with making Claire some crumpets & a coffee to cure her morning hanger 😉
Having started this role in January as a compliance administrator I have really enjoyed working in an office environment, which has been my dream for as long as I can remember. Six months on I am now also a resourcer and run all of Abbey Personnel's social media accounts!
Despite being 20 years old and the baby of the office I have been welcomed into the Abbey Personnel team and haven't stopped laughing since 🤗
Since being at school and throughout sixth form I have always studied whilst having a job which has led me to be very organised, sometimes too organised... organising Claire's desk drawers has been my highlight of working here 😂
One of the most important things is having a good work and personal life balance. Since joining Abbey Personnel I now have Sundays off for the first time in three years which has been great. I like to spend my weekend catching up with friends & family, attending music festivals and if the sun is shining you can't go wrong with a trip to the pub ☀🍷
Work life, I thoroughly enjoy my job, more often than not it doesn't really feel like work as we are constantly laughing in the office.
Having a mixed background of digital marketing/retail/social media management, all of these skills have helped me land this role where I have begun to learn the workings of recruitment.
In the future I hope to become a top recruiter just like my colleague Lisa 😉 I also hope to grow our brand through social media marketing as this is where I have the most experience to bring to the team.
